FA.Q

Q: What program do you use to make your animations?

A: Flash

Q: What version of flash do you use?

A: Flash 4. It's easier than Flash 5.

Q: Where can I get flash?

A: You can buy it at like... Staples or something.

Q: Can you make your animations downloadable?

A: I don't know yet, because first of all... I'm lazy, second of all I just don't want people putting my animations on their sites without my permision. But if you want to link to my site go ahead. I don't mind.

Q: How do I make a preloader?

A: Here it is: A Cheap Tutorial On How To Make A Preloader

Q: Can you help me learn flash? I wanna start a new site, blah, blah, etc.

A: Simple answer: NO. Just open flash, then click Help and then Flash Help Topics, then a BIG ASS TUTORIAL opens. You can find basicly everything you need in there, but if you don't find what ever you're looking for go visit flash sites with tutorials. For example www.FlashKit.com

Q: Some link is broken, can you fix it?

A: Yes, if you e-mail me about it and tell me exactly what's wrong.

Q: How did you make Fight For Life?

A: I've got so many questions about this animation, so I'll try to answer them all. Mostly I draw sticks frame by frame. But there are many little things in flash that make the job a lot easier. For example lines. When you draw something, you can always modify that line, for example bend it, shrink it and such things, then there's this button that allows you to see what is in the last frame, so you can use that to draw your next frame, also a thing that allows your line's to be smooth. I only used the tweening for the matrix thing. And only to move the stick that's in the air around. I also used a movie clip for the matrix thing. But I did the 3D thing by hand. Simply selecting the whole stick figure (without his head) and shrinking him. If you read the tutorials in flash and the tutorials on other sites you'll get the idea better. If you know all the little things in flash they will make the job a LOT easier. None the less I drew everything frame by frame. The animation was 17 fps and about 1700 frames long.
